Selection Process

The SAILI selection process screens candidates for academic ability and financial need.

SAILI will meet with potential scholars from when they are in Grade 6. The recruitment process starts in October of the Grade 6 academic year. In March of the grade 7 year two rounds of tests are conducted. The first round is a maths test and, if successful, candidates progress to the second round which screens for motivation, grit, maths orientation, personal goal setting and self-reflection.

Our selection of scholars is made by the June of Grade 7 to allow ample time for the students to apply for high school places at partner schools.
