The SAILI Scholarship supports high-performing learners from under-resourced communities through a five-year high school programme, from Grade 8 to Grade 12, provided learners meet both academic and programme requirements.
Applications open to learners in Grade 7 who are academically strong, particularly in Mathematics, English, and Science, and who meet the financial eligibility criteria.
The scholarship includes both financial and developmental support:
- Financial Support Covers key school-related costs, including school fees, uniforms, and essential learning materials.
- Development & Programme Support Learners are supported through a structured programme that includes academic guidance, mentorship, and personal development, helping them grow in confidence, resilience, and overall performance throughout high school.

Become a Monthly Supporter
Give Monthly. Change a Future.
Set up a monthly debit order and become part of a learner’s long-term journey.
Regular giving helps us provide consistent academic, mentorship, and programme support throughout the year.
There are many ways to support SAILI — and every one of them makes a difference.
Fund a learner
A donation of R30,000 covers one learner’s full year — school fees, uniform, materials, and programme support. All donations are tax deductible under SAILI’s PBO status.
Become a Champion
If you believe in what we do, tell someone. Refer us to a company, a foundation, or an individual looking to invest in education. Word of mouth is one of the most powerful tools we have.
Open Your Doors - Work-Shadow Partnerships
One afternoon in your workplace can change how a learner sees their future. We’re looking for companies and professionals — particularly in STEM fields — willing to host SAILI learners for work-shadow opportunities.
Partners are recognised on our website as official SAILI Work-Shadow Partners.
Share Your Skills
Are you a tutor, mentor, counsellor, or subject specialist? We welcome professionals who want to give their time — whether through workshops, one-on-one support, or career guidance sessions.
Give In Kind
Some of our greatest needs aren’t financial. Each year we welcome:
- Branded SAILI clothing for our learners — summer and winter ranges in SAILI colours
- Sponsorship of our annual camp
- Books — fiction and non-fiction — given as award gifts
- Snacks for workshops, outings, and camps
If you’d like to contribute in kind, get in touch and we’ll let you know exactly what’s needed.
Our donors
Our donors aren’t just contributors; they are pillars of our vision and mission. Their generous support extends far beyond financial aid. The expertise, mentorship, and opportunities they offer our learners are invaluable, helping to shape bright futures and transformative careers. To our donors, your impact reverberates through every success story we share and every milestone we achieve. Your unwavering belief in our cause pushes us to do more and be more.
To those considering joining our donor community, know that your involvement can change lives in profound ways. By supporting our cause, you aren’t just making a donation; you’re investing in the future, molding leaders, and championing dreams. We invite you to be part of this transformative journey, to witness firsthand the difference your support can make, and to join a community that believes in empowering the next generation.
Once again, to all our donors, both mentioned and unmentioned, thank you from the depths of our hearts. Your generosity fuels our mission, and together, we can continue to make a monumental difference.
