An electrical engineer by training with a background in software development and project management, Sam’s core skills are conceptual and analytical thinking, problem solving, data analysis and cool pragmatism. As a manager in both commercial and development arenas, his key focus has been on maximising value through a combination of analysis, reduction of waste, continuous measurement and attention to intended outcomes. Sam has managed multinational development teams and has a history of dealing effectively with international partner organisations. Before moving into the education sector in 2008, Sam worked as a systems engineer in the telecoms sector for over a decade.
Sue is a seasoned business professional with a history of consulting and providing project and program management services to the corporate sector.
Long aware of the value of education, the chance to join SAILI was a blessing. It allowed Sue to apply her business skills to ensure that the organisation’s education and data experts could continue to deliver to their areas of expertise, freeing them from the commercial side of SAILI. Although Sue’s not on the front-line of education delivery, she drives SAILI’s professional operational imperatives.

Lana has been working with SAILI since 2016. Prior to joining SAILI, Lana spent a number of years at Shell and other corporates working in customer service and administration before making the decision to move into the social sector. As Senior Administrator, Lana is integral to the smooth running of SAILI with responsibility for a range of duties within HR, finance, logistics and diary management.
