SAILI Scholarships CLOSED

What can I do if I missed the scholarships deadline?
SAILI only receives scholarship applications during September of the year your child is in Grade 6.  We don’t ever make any exceptions.  If you missed our applications process you can try one of the other scholarship organsiations in Cape Town.  There are no scholarship organisations that take applications for high school scholarships after April of the year your child is in Grade 7.  This is because most high schools have closed for applications by then.

What if my child is already at high school?
SAILI does not pick up with learners already at high school even if they are attending one of our selected high schools.  Our intention is to find children who otherwise would not gain access to a quality high school and route the child there.  We do not ever make exceptions to this.  All that we know about high school bursaries for learners already at high school is written in this blog.

What should I do if I applied but I never heard anything?

When we receive an application we receipt it either by e-mail or SMS.  If you didn’t receive confirmation, we did not receive your application.

You will  notified of the testing date and venue during October.  If your application is receipted but you are not notified for testing, you should contact us urgently.

If you have any further queries about your application please contact

Hi, Best thing to do would be to register at TVET College for the NCV (National Certificate – Vocational) “Safety and Security in Society”. This is equivalent to matric and an excellent qualification with which to apply to the army. To find your nearest college go to this website: NSFAS funding covers all NCV qualifications. Kath

What grades are your children in and where do you live? I can let you know if there are any scholarship organisations in your area.
