    Partner with SAILI

A R14 500 donation will cover the directs costs (school fees, text books, uniform etc) excluding our overheads for one scholar for a year and is tax deductible.

At SAILI, we believe that education does not have to be exclusive and expensive to be excellent. When you give money to an academically gifted child to attend a particular school, you not only build that child’s future, you also make a difference by building the resources and academic environment of that school.

Located in Cape Town, SAILI has ability to grow and is actively looking for opportunities to do so. We would like to increase the number of students and schools we support. Our model is based on the use of existing state capacity to deliver quality education. It has the potential to scale up and enhance the performance in Maths and Science of an increasing number of talented students.

SAILI’s funders include local and foreign individuals and local corporate donors. Recent donors include Investec, Coronation Asset Managers , The Michael and Susan Dell Foundation, Aurecon, AECOM as well as the SOLON Foundation.

We are seen as a high-value, effective and responsive partner in the challenge to increase the throughput to tertiary educational institutions of students who are fully competent in Maths and Science. SAILI offers high value at a low cost and we believe it is excellently placed to effect real change in the long term.

For only R14 500 a year, we can give a promising young person access to education that their family cannot otherwise afford. Help us build a future for these young people so that they can build the future of South Africa.

You can also help by offering to tutor SAILI students as well as by hosting work-shadow opportunities.
